From beach festivals in Eastern Europe to vibrant clubs in London, San Francisco and beyond, Oslo-based DJ Dirty Hans is known to turn dance floors into disco delirium. His deep connection with the dance floor has given him a unique instinct for what makes people move, taking you on a journey where you simply can't stand still.
Dirty Hans has gained a reputation for digging out some of the rarest disco records on the planet, reviving forgotten gems that faded in the hype of their time. These records find their home within his DJ sets, where deep and eclectic sounds effortlessly mingle with timeless classics. This has made him a favorite of Jeremy Underground, who invited Hans to play at Phonox in London for one of his 2018 residency nights.
In 2015, he co-founded the label and collective Mutual Intentions with close friends and artists like Ivan Ave and Charlotte Dos Santos. Their debut cassette release caught Sofie Royer's ear and set the stage for Norway's first-ever Boiler Room session. The label have released albums by artists like Byron The Aquarius, Stimulator Jones and Kurtiss.
With gigs opening for Dave Lee (fka Joey Negro) and Kaytranada, and sharing the stage with the likes of Cashmere Cat, Dam-Funk and Peanut Butter Wolf, Hans has demonstrated his status as a stellar DJ. Legends like Leroy Burgess and D-Train have graced his club nights, including Touchdown, a popular disco and soul night he ran for 10 years together with childhood friend Fredfades. Touchdown often hosted big-name record collectors and DJs from around the world. Hans has also worked as a resident DJ at well-known Oslo clubs Jaeger and Ingensteds.
